Welcome to Bounce-n-Play of Charlottesville: Come in and play a while

Are you looking for the perfect place to throw that extra special birthday party?

Look no more. My kids and I are HUGE fans of  the Bounce-n-Play here in Charlottesville so we recently booked a Nerf Birthday Party for our son Isaac. It turned out to be the ultimate birthday party experience and I wanted to share that experience with you.

The staff was above and beyond hospitable! The party hosts were more than just hosts, they were a part of the celebration. From beginning to end, they stayed engaged and did their best to make this party extra special. Hygiene was very important and it was obvious right from the beginning that they were dedicated to making this the best party ever!

There was a party schedule in place and the staff was excellent about keeping the party moving. We started off in the party room while we waited for all of the guests to arrive. In the room the kids drew happy birthday pictures for the birthday boy and for an additional charge (chosen when party is booked) had their faces painted. It was obvious everyone was having a great time but little did they know the fun had yet to begin.

Next, the kids headed for the epitome of all that is fun — THE BOUNCE CHAMBER! WE bounced, ran, slid, laughed, and jumped for 45 minutes to an hour before it was time for pizza, cake, and lemonade.

The kids sat down to eat before the main event got under way, and by main event I mean NERF PARTY!

Isaac chose to have a Nerf Party but there are plenty of other options and themes to choose from. The coordinator gave us a choice to either have Isaac open presents at the party or at home. The reason is because it then gives the VIP party guests more time to BOUNCE-n-PLAY! We chose to let’em play! If you do the same, you might want to explain to your party guests ahead of time so there is no confusion.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed their pizza and cake, but I must give big props to Bounce-n-Play for the way they handled a last minute error on the part of the cake vendor. Isaac chose a Star Wars cake and that’s what he got but for some reason it didn’t get decorated the way it was supposed to by the vendor.

This is what separates good businesses from excellent businesses.

The staff scrambled around at the last minute to finish decorating the cake which included what turned out to be a hit decision — tiny light sabers! They completed the icing and it turned out GREAT! Isaac was so pleased with the light sabers!! In fact, all of the kids were clanking them together like they were in the Star Wars movie! It was so much fun to watch the smiles on all the children’s faces, but it was now time for the highlight of the party!

Now for the MAIN EVENT of the evening!!

It was time for the Nerf War and the best part is that for this part of the party, we had the entire place to ourselves. Each child (and some adults including myself), were given Nerf pistols and some super cool safety glasses! The lights were off, the fog machine was on, and we were unleashed for almost an hour of Nerf party action!

RAAAAWWRRRR…….we screamed as we made our way to the battle ground. It was time for action!

We were shooting, sliding, and running so hard my shirt was completely soaked after just 15 minutes. It was so much fun none of us wanted it to end. It was the perfect excuse to be a kid again and the adults took full advantage.

I absolutely LOVE that adults can join in on the fun at Bounce-n-Play!

So if you’ve been wanting to throw a birthday party but just weren’t sure about where to have it, Bounce-n-Play is your party destination! When I was growing up, Chuck E Cheese was the place to go, but Chuck E Cheese has nothing on Bounce-n-Play! It makes me wish Bounce-n-Play would have been around when I was growing up. Why let your kids play video games when they can bounce, bounce, bounce their way to ultimate party bliss?

The best memories ever are produced when the parents and children are able to interact together and those are the moments I love the best. I highly recommend Bounce-n-Play to anyone looking to have the perfect birthday party experience.
